I don't usually like to show off my failed projects, but here goes. I hate the way the ribbon trim looks on this little nightgown for my almost two year old grand daughter. The colors are the same, but it is just TOOOOOO much. It isn't a total loss, though. I took the ribbon ruffle off the yoke and the ribbon off the bottom. But.... while taking the ribbon off the bottom, I slipped with my "Friend I Hate To Love" and made a hole that I can't fix. The solution is to make babydoll pjs from this nightgown. I found some solid, but soft to the touch, orange fabric in my stash, that I'm going to make bloomers from, and then I'm cutting this gown off to be a short top; yep, the sleeves, too. I'll post a picture when I finish after while.
I now have 50 followers ---- Yea!!!! This is post 97, I think! I am still thinking about some kind of celebration idea! Any good ideas out there?
I know one celebration I'm having later this week. I'm getting my stitches out of my foot on Thursday, and I hope I'll be getting a smaller boot to wear. I also hope, but kind of doubt that I'll be able to drive after that.
This background in in honor of all my teacher friends and their students. Can you believe that school starts this week here!?!

HAVE A GREAT DAY NANCY
Yeah you made 50 followers!! I see that Marydon from Feedsack Fantasy found you :-) I did a similar thing with a charity quilt once. Made a hole that could not be fixed in anyway, and I had already started quilting. I ended up putting an applique bee (from the fabric store) over it and sewing over it really well. I hope that it stayed, as it was a cute quilt going to the childrens hospital.
I'm not sure why you didn't like this. I think it is just perfect - love the brights and kids love them too.
You know what? I might have agreed with you not so long ago, but I have been visiting Jolijou lately - and she manages explosions of colour beautifully. I'd be more than happy to waft off to bed in that nightgown!
