Growth Tuck Adjustments

I see some pressing is in order, and I see a button that isn't in line with the rest.  I hadn't seen that until I saw this photo.  Strange isn't it?  I actually adjusted this dress by 4 inches.  I don't know what I was thinking when I put this together.  But, with this adjustment, Miss J should be in good shape.
I was sitting on my couch the other night, looking at these dresses, and I realized that Lil'B would be dragging the ground in this little dress.  I made a 1 1/2 in. adjustment.  At 7 months, even 1/2 in. makes a difference.  I am going to make bloomers to go with this dress. Lil'B is crawling everywhere, so her diapered little bottom needs to be covered.  She has to be a "lady".
I've started on the boys' shirts.  My machine is acting up!  Argh!  It is starting to make me mad!  It's my own fault, though.  I take my machine in for a check-up every summer, but with all that was going on last summer with new babies and my mother's condition, I never got it to the shop.  It is going just as soon as I get the Easter clothing finished.

I didn't even notice the button out of place.

Long dresses make it so hard for little ones to crawl around. Cute little panties will be adorable.

Good luck finishing up your work with the tempermental machine. Isn't that so frustrating?

You know, the BEAUTIFUL dresses and your sewing put you on a pedestal in my book, but I think you have just gone to hero status...anyone that can make a slipcover that looks like what you did for the couch deserve my utmost admiration! Yes, you ROCK! Happy Thursday, Julia! Tanya

Wow..I missed the button alignment issue. Those dresses are so sweet! I can so relate to the sewing machine problem. I do my own 'spring' refurbishing. I've gotten so many up and running for friends I feel I ought to charge for it. LoL!

Have fun sewing!

PS. I've got some appliqueing to do. It's such a headache working with antique quilt blocks that are too delicate to sew with a machine. :o)

Oh Julia, you are just like me. We are much pickier about our own work than anyone else would be. Your dresses are so lovely!!

I hope your machine lasts through the Easter sewing. There's nothing worse! My shop gave me a loaner one year so I could keep sewing. I love those blue dresses!
