Southeast Winter Snow Storm's Results

This is a photograph that I took as we drove around after an 8 inch snow storm hit SE TN.  I thought this one was pretty enough to frame, so I printed it, framed it and hung it in our foyer.
Here are more photos that I photographed, and, as you see, I played around with them just for fun.   I       may end up framing even more of them.

It's going to be really cold all week, so this will be hanging around.  I love snow, so I'm happy.  We may get more in a few days! This is a major state highway.  As you can see, it wasn't plowed, salted, or anything.  They did work on it last night after dark.

We had 8 inches, which is way more than we normally get.

Pretty pictures! The storm is due here this evening, but I can't say that I'm excited about it!

Those pictures are gorgeous. I love in south Alabama and we did not get any snow here, but the people right above us did.

Did you get the sleet/freezing rain on top of the snow? We did - makes it dreadful!

Have you taken up cross country skiing yet?

Lovely snow pictures. Quite a contrast from the pictures I posted on my blog today ;-)

Beautiful pictures! Those would make a lovely set of cards or even this year's Christmas cards! Never hurts to be early, lol!

Great Pictures. I especially like the one you chose to frame. We have about 4 or 5 inches, but most of the main roads are cleared. Our street is the last of the neighborhood to clear off...due to the neighbors' houses shading the area. I can hear the cars on the crunching ice as they have to slow down quickly. Holding my breath that one doesn't spin off into our yard.

Nothing here and nothing expected! :) I wish it was. Your pictures are beautiful. I like Elle's idea of using these pictures as Christmas cards.

Lovely photos,so glad our snow has been and gone before xmas,we had so much it did a fair bit of damage in our village in Yorkshire England it brought our guttering down and our coservatory roof so i am no longer in love with snow so stay safe and stay warm.

Hi, Julia - I LOVE the photos. I always think I miss the snow of CO when I see pictures like yours...and then I come to my senses and remember the cold that goes along with it! Happy New Year - stay safe in that snow. Tanya

Those are some awesome photos! I can't even imagine that much snow, much less it lasting.

Julia, you captured the beauty of nature perfectly! I love every single picture. Awesome country side. We only got 3" from that, you could share a wee bit more, pul-eez!

TY for your sweet well wishes ... I'm slowly mending & unbruising.

Pictures are terrific! You had more snow than my area of Mississippi, but isn't snow beautiful for those of us who seldom experience it.

Beautiful pictures. My boys want to experience snow so badly. Maybe Haleakala will get some this year! It'd be worth a drive up to the top of the volcano!
