You married almost exactly 6 months after I did (June 17, 1972). I had just graduated from college 2 weeks before and 1st Lt Army hubby was supposed to be getting out of the service a week before the wedding. Nope...Army decided to keep him an extra 3 months and sent him off to NY, but at least it wasn't Vietnam.
