I am rath...I think this is a wonderful idea Julia.
I am rather picky about grammar myself, but I do find that in my blogging, I often do things a little differently than when I am writing other things.
Like sometimes I will use upper case letters through an entire word to show emphasis or dynamic. However, I go through-the-roof, over-the-top, out-of-my-mind NUTS when I read some of the things that some people write in their Facebook status'. Twitter is even worse. And shall we talking about texting?

When editing India's papers for school, I am shocked at the way the high school writing teachers grade. When I spoke to one of the teachers, she told me that writing and grammar are taught differently than when I went to school. Apparently our method is now "dated". Hm....

So, in answer to your question, YES!
I would love to read a blog of this type. Thank you.Goosegirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10438233253491253506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183969995972714212.post-13467764458987917892010-02-16T15:11:05.164-05:002010-02-16T15:11:05.164-05:00Excellent idea, Julia. He said he can forgive someone's speech in normal conversation (he's a salesperson and he tends to fall into the other person's rhythm and manner of speaking to get into the conversation) but in writing, you can proofread and correct it. IM's and Facebook have deteriorated writing skills tremendously. If you want to do it, go for it. Erin at A Dress A Day is a lexicographer (I think that's the word), so you should find her comments interesting.Myrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16163175961766563965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183969995972714212.post-30262836062846235992010-02-16T14:10:53.040-05:002010-02-16T14:10:53.040-05:00I think it is a great idea!! When I think of the many times my mother has cringed at my own grammar (which I don't think is all that poor, but still!), I'm convinced that these things have fallen by the wayside in education. I know I write bad from what my kids are being taught in school. It's mostly from not having enough time or like beangirl doing 101 things at once and not doing any of them well because you're doing 101 things. Like right now, eating lunch, reading blogs, watching the news on tv and talking on the phone.
Never a dull moment!
I think it's a great idea though...
Grand's Teaching Grammar Police :)Zephttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03682731203511053192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183969995972714212.post-55274824669959958032010-02-16T12:54:50.504-05:002010-02-16T12:54:50.504-05:00I try to use proper grammar but must admit I somet...I try to use proper grammar but must admit I sometimes slip! I know that some rules have changed a little since I was learning grammar (which I actually never was taught in school, if you can believe-- long story). I'm don't have perfect grammar by any means, especially when speaking, but I have this strange old-fashioined expectation that a journalistic endeavor might be held to some higher standards. Apparently I am very wrong about that.

I can't think of a good title for you, though. "Grammarama" LOL Maybe not.Beangirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10402852482784879141noreply@blogger.com
